Dr. Biemel is responsible for ensuring that business operations are efficient and effective and that the proper management of resources and distribution of services to customers is conducted. He has a strong scientific background and expertise in processes supporting lead optimization, candidate selection, and preclinical drug development. Dr. Biemel has been playing a major role in strengthening Pharmacelsus’ portfolio in the area of drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics (DMPK). Under his direction Pharmacelsus has become a valued partner in bioanalytical support. He joined the company in 2004 as Head of Analytics and became Chief Science Officer in 2007.
Mr. Biemel received a doctoral degree in Food Chemistry from the University of Hohenheim, Germany. His research was focused on the implication of advanced glycation end products (AGEs) in diabetes.
