Dr. Husen joined Pharmacelsus in May 2011. She holds a doctoral degree in biology from Hannover University, Germany, and gained 10 years of experience in academic studies in endocrinology, cell biology, reproductive biology and human anatomy. For the last 9 years, she has worked as a Senior Scientist Pharmacology in Preclinical Research at Solvay Pharmaceuticals GmbH (since 2010 Abbott Products GmbH), Hannover, Germany.  She contributed substantially to the profiling and optimization of lead compounds, first for Women’s Health indications, later also for cardiometabolic diseases. She implemented several in vivo models combined with efforts to identify and validate preclinical biomarkers and improve predictivity. In her present position at Pharmacelsus, Dr. Husen is responsible for in vivo pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic studies in rodents. She will also be responsible for further development and implementation of customized solutions for advanced in vivo models.
