Dr. Ursula Müller-Vieira - Head of ADME & in vitro Pharmacology

 


Dr. Müller-Vieira joined Pharmacelsus in July 2005. She holds a university degree in pharmacy and a doctoral degree in Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry from Saarland University, Germany, where her work centered on the development of in vitro and in vivo test systems for the identification of cardiovascular drugs interfering with mineralocorticoid biosynthesis. This has provided her a strong background in the field of endocrinology and cardiovascular diseases, as well as in method development and validation. At Pharmacelsus, Dr. Müller-Vieira is primarily responsible for the field of in vitro ADME in support of client sponsored drug discovery projects and for implementation of key ADME methods and tools. She acts as project leader in domestic and international research projects and as the lead laboratory manager in a European multi-study validation trial in the field of Cytochrome P450 induction. As deputy quality manager, she supports the organization of the quality management system.
